ACT: American College Testing Program

The ACT is designed for students who are taking a college preparatory curriculum and plan to attend college after high school graduation.  The ACT scores below reflect the 11th grade Onekama High School students who took the ACT and compares them with the State average of all Michigan 11th grade students who took the ACT.

As part of the Michigan Merit Exam (MME), all Michigan 11th grade students including Onekama High School students take the ACT in the Spring of their Junior year at no cost to the student or district.

ACT -- Plan and PSAT/NMSQT

Students in their Sophomore and Junior years have the opportunity to take the Pre SAT/NMSQT Qualifier Test in October.  Also, they can take the ACT-Plan in the spring.  Both tests are offered at Onekama Consolidated Schools at a minimal cost to students.  Scores from both tests can now be used as dual enrollment qualifying scores according to the Michigan Department of Education.

IOWA Test of Basic Skills

During the spring of each year students in 1st through 8th grade are administered the IOWA Test.  This test is designed to show the current level of academic achievement and growth for individual students.  These results are used to assist staff and administration in making sure the proper core content materials are being taught in the classroom, and each student is performing to their optimal potential.
