Thursday Aug. 26 we traveled to
Baldwin for our first game of the season. We won in two game with the
scores 25-12 and 25-19. Faith Moerdyk lead her team in points with 13
and 2 ace serves and 6 digs. Becky Cunningham added 8 points with 7 ace
serves and 8 digs. Sierra Warner scored 5 points with 1 ace serve and 6
digs. Emily Hippensteal scored 3 points with 1 ace serve. Claire Harvey
scored 3 points with 5 digs. Kaylan Fitch also added 3 points with 3
digs, one set and 1 tip. The girls played really well tonight and had
great serving with everyone scoring. This was a great start to the 2010

We lost in two game with the scores
14-25 and 15-25. This was a tough game for us and we struggles with our
passing and getting the ball set up. Claire Harvey scored up 5 points
with one ace serve, she had 8 digs with one spike. Sami Tiefenthal also
scored 5 points with 19 digs and 1 spike. Sierra Warner added 2 points
for her team with 7 digs and 2 spikes with 1 set. Faith Moerdyk scored 1
point with 9 digs and 1 spike. Emalee Schultz scored a point with 1 ace
serve and 2 digs. Emily Hippensteel scored 1 point and Sam Monroe helped
with 3 digs. Kaylan Fitch dug up 14 passes in the back row and Becky
Cunningham had 17 digs with 1 tip. We are working on many things during
practice to improve our game. This made for a late night because we

Tonight we traveled to Manistee to
play the Lady Sabres. We won the first game 25-22 and then lost a close
game in the second with the score 19-25, and they went to a third game
and lost another close one 12-15. Emalee Schultz scored an amazing 11
points with 1 ace and 13 digs with one spike and 2 tips with 3 assists.
Sierra Warner added 5 points with 2 ace serves, 10 digs with 4 spikes
and 9 sets. Claire Harvey scored up 8 points for her team with 11 digs.
Becky Cunningham added 2 points with 17 digs, 6 spikes and 11 sets with
one tip. Faith Moerdyk added 2 points with 14 digs, and 2 spikes with
one set and 1 assist. Emily Hippensteel served up 1 point with 100%
serving with 2 digs and 1 set. Kaylan Fitch dug up 19 passes with 6
spikes. Samantha Monroe had 4 digs with one spike. Tonight we played
much better as a team and the game were really close, we had a lot of
great serving and good passing game tonight.
