Sixth Grade Portagers Do Well
Against MCC Sabers

The Onekama 6th grade Portager girls lost to MCC, but it's said to be the closest anyone has come to beating them. One might note that one of our players, Kaitlin Kubiskey, was sick and didn't play most of the game. Great effort by all our girls. Hopefully we can get a win against them in the tournament this weekend at Trinity Lutheran.
The final score was 29-21. Haley Maser scored 12 points, Alexia Tribfelner scored 4; Sierra Warner made 3 points and Courtney Danks added 2 points.  ~Kelly Maser

On November 29th we played a basketball game. We didn't win, but it sure didn't fee like it. The score was 22 to 29. That was the closest score anybody had when they played against them. Courtney made a point and everybody screamed really really loud. We have to play them again December 1st. So we are going to beat them. ~Kayla K.

Last night we had a game. We didn't win but we did get 22 to 29. Our coach said that was the biggest score any team ever had against them. The are going to hopefully lose on Saturday. During the game I got nailed in my side. Number 2 started to get really mad during the end when we started to win. Some people in the stands started to cheer. We had so much fun! ~Alexis
