“We played good, aggressive defense, and on offense we
took the ball to the basket,” said Onekama coach Roger Smith. “We had 18
steals and we turned a lot of the steals into lay ups. As a team, we’re
coming around, but we still have a long way to go.”
The Portagers jumped to a 21-12 lead by the end of the first quarter and
led 46-21 at the half. They outscored the Wildcats 20-5 in the third
quarter to post a 66-26 lead at the end of that period. |
