It was a bitter end to a season of
hoop dreams, hard work, success and tears. Following a clutch
basket made by sophomore Katie Prielipp, the 4th quarter buzzer
sounded with the scoreboard tied at 34-34 in the conference match-up
between Onekama and Bear Lake. The Portagers were overcome with
emotion as they headed into overtime for 4 minutes. Unfortunately,
the Portagers were unable to answer the Lakers with enough points to
claim the victory. The final score at the conclusion of overtime
was 35-38 in favor of Bear Lake.

Scoring for the Portagers were
sophomore Sherece Revolt with 20 points, freshman Taylor Hagen with
9 points, sophomore Katie Prielipp with 4 points, and sophomore
Diamond Kimpel with 2 points.
The J.V. Portager girls' basketball
team closed out their season with a winning record of
10-9. Every member of the J. V. squad
will be lifted up to play on the varsity squad for the district
