Slow Start Proves To Be Costly For JV Hoops
|
Thursday night's match-up against the Cardinals
of Mason County Eastern proved to be a learning experience for both JV
Girls' Portager basketball players and coaches. The Cardinals poured an
offensive attack that the Portagers were unable to respond to
scoring-wise in the 1st quarter.
MCE outshot the Portagers 20-0 by the 1st
quarter buzzer. The Portagers rallied back in the 2nd quarter,
scoring 10 points to the Cardinals 4. The last half of the game was
close, but the Portagers were unable to post enough points on the
board to claim the win. The final score was MCE 39 and the
Portagers 23.
