Girls Pounce the Panthers 48-20; Improve Record to 3-3
In Wednesday night's
match-up between the Portagers and the Baldwin Panthers, the JV
girls' basketball team took control of the game early and kept
the Panthers at bay for four quarters to pull out an
exciting 48-20 win. The Portagers improved their season record
to 3-3 overall.
The
scoring effort made by the Portagers was an extraordinary
one....every member of the squad was able to put points on the
board! Paving the way for the Onekama scoring machine was
sophomore Sherece Revolt with 17 points followed by freshman
Lexi Howard who tossed in 11 points. |
Also
scoring for the Portagers were Taylor Hagen with 9 points, Katie Prielipp with 4
points, and Ashley DeRooy with 3 points . Brooke Sedalmaier and
Diamond Kimpel rounded out the scoring attack with 2 points
apiece.
Diamond
Kimpel led the Portagers in rebounds with an amazing 15 boards,
followed by Lexi Howard who ripped down 12 rebounds. Both Katie
Prielipp and Taylor Hagen led the team in steals with 4 apiece.
The
JV girls' basketball team next see action Friday night at Big
Rapids Crossroads Academy for a make-up game. Tip off is at 6
pm.
