The Onekama varsity picked up an important conference victory Tuesday night over a scrappy Pentwater team by a score of 75-60 in a sloppy, fast-paced contest.  After falling behind early, the Portagers applied the full court press midway through the first period and didn't take their foot off the gas until the final two minutes.  OHS was led in rebounding by Ryan Miller with 10, followed by Jim Kosiboski with 9.  Zach Gilbert and Nick Bradford had 8 and 7 caroms, respectively.  Bradford led the offense with 28 points and Miller added 22.  Hunter "The Thief" Slade lead the Portager press with 7 steals.  OHS (4-3, 4-2) next game is against resurgent Manistee Catholic Central Sabres.         ~Coach Balmer, January 8, 2008
