After a sluggish start, the Portager junior varsity cruised to a 50-28 victory over Pentwater on Tuesday evening.  Onekama ended the first period with a shooting percentage of only 19%, but responded with suffocating defense and capitalizing off Pentwater's turnovers.  Skyler Kimple led the Portagers in rebounding with 14, followed by Joe Kosiboski's 9 caroms.  Kevin O'Connor and Chase Callaway each had 8 boards.  Callaway and Jordan Zupin lead the Portagers in scoring with 11 points and 10 points, respectively.  OHS (6-1, 5-1) hosts Manistee Catholic Central for a pivotal West Michigan "D" League match-up Friday evening. ~Coach Balmer
