Saturday Onekama Portagers hosted MCC
Sabres and won in five games. Lady Portagers came out and won
the first two games 25-17, 25-21. Girls played very well on
defense and very getting their serves. Sabres came back in the
next two games and won 25-19, 25-23. The match came down to the
fifth game and the Portages won 15-11. Girls played tough and
fought for every point. They never gave up and worked hard
together. Sophomore Stacey Keith led her team with 14 points, 3
ace serves, 25 digs, and 31 sets.

Junior Kelsey Acker helped her team with 10
points, 2 ace serves, 24 passes, 8 attacks with one kill, and 6
assists. Chelsea Miller and Ronnie Maidens scored 8 points and one ace
each. Chelsea had 23 returns, 9 spikes, 2 kills, 2 tips and 8 assists.
Ronnie was the team top digger with 36 and top setter with 57 sets, 2
spikes, 3 blocks, and 8 tips. Alyssa Cole and Stephanie Ashworth added
5 points each and both were their teams top spikers with 18 each.
Alyssa had two ace serves and 17 digs. Meghan Nesburg was the team
