| It was a game that went back and forth for most of the game as the host Cardinals held a one point lead going into the half-time intermission and they held a five point lead heading into the final quarter. It was a 24 point outburst that propelled the visiting Onekama Portagers to a 46-39 win over the Mason County Eastern Cardinals for a big West Michigan D League win. Leading the way for the Portagers was Ryan Miller with 18 points. Chase Calloway had eight | points. Drew Griswold, Joe Kosiboski added five points. Jake Matthews added four points from the charity stripe. Thomas Koon and Zac Gilbert added three points to round out scoring for the visiting team. The Cardinals were led by Cole Gwilliams with 17 points. The Portagers close out the 2006 part of the season on Tuesday against a tough Manistee Catholic Central Sabers in Manistee. ...Coach Harju |
