Dec. 15 Away Onekama Stops MCE It was a game that went back and forth for most of the game as the host Cardinals held a one point lead going into the half-time intermission and they held a five point lead heading into the final quarter. It was a 24 point outburst that propelled the visiting Onekama Portagers to a 46-39 win over the Mason County Eastern Cardinals for a big West Michigan D League win. Leading the way for the Portagers was Ryan Miller with 18 points. Chase Calloway had eight points. Drew Griswold, Joe Kosiboski added five points. Jake Matthews added four points from the charity stripe. Thomas Koon and Zac Gilbert added three points to round out scoring for the visiting team.  ...Coach Harju Game Photos

The Junior Varsity Portagers improved to 4-0 on the young season as they defeated the Manistee Catholic Central Sabers 56-54 on Tuesday night in Manistee. Leading the visiting Portagers in scoring was Ryan Miller with 28 points, six steals and 12 rebounds. Zac Gilbert had 17 points and 14 rebounds. Joe Kosiboski had seven points, seven rebounds. Jan. 5 Home Walkerville Game Photos and Coach Harju's report the Wildcats defeated the Portagers 66-38. Leading the Portagers in scoring was Zac Gilbert with 17 points.
Jan. 9 Away Frankfort Portagers Fall In Overtime: The junior varsity Onekama Portagers dropped their second game in a row as they fell to the Frankfort Panthers in non-league action on Tuesday night, 56-46 in overtime. Ryan Miller led the Portagers with 27 points, 14 rebounds, four steals and three assists. Zac Gilbert had five points and nine rebounds. Drew Griswold had four points and three steals. Joe Kosiboski had four points and seven rebounds. Chase Calloway had four points and 13 rebounds. Jan. 12 Away Brethren Portagers fall at Brethren: On Friday night, the visiting Onekama Portagers dropped a league contest to the Brethren Bobcats 60-42. Leading the way for Onekama was Zac Gilbert and Ryan Miller with 12 points each. Gilbert had nine rebounds and four blocks. Miller had seven rebounds, seven steals, three blocks and two steals. Thomas Koon had five points, five rebounds and three assists. Drew Griswold had five points. Jake Matthews had four points, three steals and three assists. Chase Calloway had two points, four rebounds, two blocks and two assists. Joe Kosiboski had one point and four rebounds. Dan Gillespie had three rebounds. Jan 30 Home Pentwater Onekama over Pentwater 64-48
All twelve JV players that suited up on Tuesday night scored as the Onekama Portagers defeated the Pentwater Falcons 64-48 in West Michigan D League action. Ryan Miller led the Portagers with 29 points and 17 rebounds. Joe Kosiboski had eight points, 12 rebounds and three assists. Drew Griswold had seven points. Chase Calloway had five points, nine rebounds and six blocks.
Jake Matthews had three points and three steals. Thomas Koon had three points and nine rebounds. Parker Johnson had two points. Justin Zupin contributed two points. Zac Gilbert had two points and seven rebounds. Lucas Porter, Danny Brown and Dan Gillespie each had one point to round out scoring. Pentwater was led by Chad Blamer with 20 points and Mikey Holmes with 17 points. Onekama hosts Mason County Eastern on Friday night.

Feb. 6 Home Mesick Onekama Defeats Mesick: It was a very slow start by the home team as the visiting Mesick Bulldogs jumped out to an early lead at the end of the first quarter. Feb 16 Away Bear Lake Bear Lake 61 Onekama 58: The visiting Onekama Portagers jumped out to an early lead, but couldn't hold on as the Bear Lake Lakers defeated the visiting Onekama Portagers 61-58 in West Michigan D League action on Friday night. Feb.23 Home Benzie Freshmen Onekama 54 Benzie Central Freshmen 44:  Onekama jumped out to a 10-0 lead and found themselves in foul trouble.
