The varsity basketball team drops to 3-7 overall and 3-5 in the league with a loss to Walkerville by a score of 66-49. Down by just 5 at halftime, a big run in the 3rd quarter put the Wildcats up by 22. The Portager continued to fight back winning the fourth quarter and obtaining their goal to reach 48 points. Bonnie Harthun led the charge with 10 pts, 4 assists, and 14 rebounds. Kelsey Acker playing a solid game was right behind with 8 points, 3 assists. The Portagers continue to improve as they work on details and looking head to Tuesday's game against TC Christian at home. |
