Winter Sports My favorite sport in the winter is skiing because there is jumps, air, speed, and sharp turns. Theirs things that makes you do these things very good for example, speed, it makes you go fast by wax, poles, and stay as low as your can. When you’re at Crystal Mountain I think they have the most biggest and coolest jumps in Michigan. There was one jump that was half of my desk and you would go the highest on all the jumps at there. What is similar to jumps is air because air is what you get from jumps. Air is the second coolest thing that you can do but not to me. The first is tricks and I just don’t like them because you get hurt easy. Speed is my favorite thing you can do on ski’s because my teacher just had us learn friction and that means that an object moves good or bad on a surface, but in friction she had learn how to have less friction to make us go fast. I am happy that she did because know I think I’m the fastest of all skiers in Onekama Elementary school. I like sharp turns because you wipeout snow at someone’s feet or just in the air. Another reason because is it makes me fell like James Bond doing pro skiing, I bet that’s what other people fell like to. Winter
Sports Sports are a fun activity for people to do. I like cheerleading and vollyball. I am in cheerleading and it is fun. I also just love volleyball because it is my favorite sport. I am good at it and it is very fun. I think I am also good at cheerleading. If sixth grade has volleyball I would like to join. I wish 5th grade had volleyball. Bobsledding One sport I'm very interested in is bobsledding. It is fast & fun, but also dangerous. It is a 4-person sled that runs on a downhill sheet of ice. It uses metal runners to steer like ice skates. There are sharp turns though. I think it’s a very popular sport. You know how I said there were sharp turns? Well sometimes these can cause the sled to tip over. Because of this, some people have gotten concussions. But no matter what happens, I will always have a passion for bobsledding. I thought our team was very good and we will be better next year. We all were very good. I think that I’m going to play college basketball . I want to go to MSU that is where my brother goes. I think basketball is my dream. I think that cheerleading is cool. I think that we need do cooler stuff. Skiing This winter I’m going skiing at Crystal Mountain. All my friends are going too. I go every Thursday until March. You have to take a test to go skiing. The tests are really easy. All you have to do is stop and turn. If you don’t do that good the ski teacher will put you in a lower grade. For example, if you take a #3 test and do bad the ski teacher will put you in a #2 sticker. When your done with the test you can go skiing on any hill you want. There are a whole bunch of hills at Crystal Mountain. Some are easy and some are hard. My favorite is Main St. That’s where all the jumps are. Snowmobileing I like to watch the snowmobile races on TV. And I also like to ride the snowmobiles. Sometimes me and Uncle Marcs go out for a ride. One day in 2000 he took me out and we did a whiley on it. If my mom Debbie was to take the snowmobile she would fishtail it. Me and Uncle Marcs are safe when we ride. My Uncle Marcs is wild but safe and cool. He sometimes is wild with me on but safe. I am just starting how to drive one. Jan. 14, 2002
