On Wednesday, December 22, 1999 the fifth grade band had their first band concert in the Onekama High School gym. A lot of people were there to listen to us play our songs. There were about 30 people in our band, so we sounded pretty good. The fifth graders played six songs witch were, "Hot Cross Buns", "Country Walk", "Down by the Station", "Merrily We Roll Along" and "Lightly Row." After the concert there were cookies and punch to drink. It was a nice concert and it went well. ...Reported by Katherine

Here we are ready for our
first band concert.

At the band concert I was very scared but after a while I got used to it. The high school band was very good. One day we could be that good. (I hope we will be that good one of these days.) We had a Christmas Concert December 22. We played two of my favorite songs which are "Au Clair de La Lune" and "Merrily we roll along". We also played 4 other songs. I also like the song "Lightly Row". Our class and Mr. Finan's class requested songs to play and then Miss Schwarz chose six songs out of the ones we requested. I thought it was an awesome concert. ...Reported by Stephanie

At the concert Hunter wasn't even one bit nervous. He had a friend to help. Autumn looked very professional playing her flute.

This year we did our first concert with our instruments. It was so cool. Every body was looking at you. It was kind of embarrassing. the best part was the cookies and having all those people clap for you because you did a great job. ...Tayler

We had our first band concert December 22, 1999. We were all so nervous that night. We were a big success. My favorite song was Au Claire de la loon. I played the clarinet in that concert. I'm glad I got to play in the band. ...Meghan
