Germany Mrs. Sanderson's class did Christmas research for different countries. I did Germany. The way the kids in Germany get their gifts is awesome! The person that gives gifts is Kris Kind. He is dressed in a robe and golden crown and has wings. That's how the kids in Germany get their presents. The feast food that they have is delicious! Like the gingerbread houses and other pastries. Also, the goose or turkey or chicken is really good too. Same with all the kinds of food. The Christmas trees that get decorated every year began in Germany. So in Germany, they have a lot of Christmas trees. If they have lots of trees, they have lots of ornaments too. They have lots of Christmas lights to make the tree seeable and look neat too. So Germany is a great place to visit for Christmas. NewLand School, December 2001 |
My Ornament I made an ornament for the Briney tree. I did some research about Kwaanza. I looked up Kwaanza on the Internet. Then my mom hung what I wrote about it on the tree. It is the coolest tree every! My Mom helped put it up. Our
Glass Ornaments Our class made ornaments for the tree. We did research on Israel. It was fun. We used computers. We wrote notes on our ornament. My
Ornament The ornament and research I did was kind of hard. It was hard to find Greece on the computer and what they did for Christmas. I did more research than I had to do. I did seven things. I only put on two because there was one thing that was really long and the other was really short, so I put the other one on too. It was fun doing research and I really liked our tree. I think our tree was one of the best. |

Christmas I made a Christmas ornament. It was about Christmas in Russia. I looked on the Internet and then in a book at school two weeks ago. It was so very fun. My
Pretty Ornament My ornament that I made is so pretty. It took me twenty minutes to make it. I just hope it got on the tree. I haven't seen it on there yet. It probably looks pretty on the tree too. Our tree looks pretty, but it needs more ornaments on it. But it still looks good. Ornaments We made ornaments for our tree at the Briney Building. Most of our class made ornaments or did research. The tree was an academic tree. It was a lot of hard work. But I managed to do it. Israel I did research on Israel. It was fun to do. I liked to go on the Internet. I think that was cool. I really was glad I got to make an ornament like that. December 2001 |
My Research
Ornament My research ornament is on our tree! It took a me a long time to find the research information for my ornament. I think it took me about thirty minutes to find what I needed, maybe longer! It was a very interesting ornament. It was about Canada. I was glad it was Canada because my Dad lives there. Even though it took me a long time to get it done, I liked it! My
Ornaments About Brazil I learned a lot about Brazil. Brazil's Christmas is like Easter in the U.S. They hide notes and presents. Then they go off and find them. Christmas is not only about presents, it's about love, family, friends, and acting polite. Now come on, have a heart, love the world. My
Really Cool Ornament I made an ornament. It is very cool. I went on the Internet also. It was really fun. I made it with writing. It was awesome Our
Tree Our tree in the Briney Building is academic. That's why our tree is so special. It is the only tree in the Briney building that is academic. I hope we win. Our tree also looks pretty. Special thanks from Mrs. Sanderson: I want to thank our design team, Mari Loomis, Melinda Pokorzynski and Sheri Yontz, for our wonderful tree. I knew I wanted it academic, they made it beautiful as |
