5th Grade Girls Basketball: Portagers vs. Bobcats
Last night we meaning the Portagers fifth grade girls basket ball team played the Brethren Bobcats. It was a lot of fun, probably a little bit more because we won! The final score was 17 to 7. Well in my opinion we did really well but I was more playing then watching but from what I could tell we did really well! The Brethren Bobcats did good too. I was a post, and I kind of forgot what the other players on the team were. It was really fun and I can't wait for the next one!  ~Amanda #54
We had a game at home against the Bobcats. We all played hard, as well as they did. The Bobcats made a hoop and I rebounded and got the ball. I dribbled all the way down the court and tried to make a 3 point shot from the side. I didn't make it but I had a good chance. We all had fun! ~#2 McKenna   We won 17 to 7 (we had 17). We played the Bobcats. We had a hard time scoring. Then Kelsey made a basket.
I made all of my free throws (I had 4 free throws). I had no fouls this game. We have 3 more games then we're done
with basketball this season. I can't wait tell our next game!!!!!!!!  ~Chloe # 11

On Thursday we played Brethren Bobcats. We won 17 to 7. I got someone's rebound and put it back up. I made it!  It was a lot of fun. The last basket we made Kelsey shot. Last time we played them we won too.  ~Hope, #1

The Bobcats were good and hard. It took a lot of effort to win. We ended up winning 17 to 7. The last pass was made by # 30 to # 31 who made our last point. We worked as a team and we worked our heart out! I thought it was really exciting and so did the crowd.

Yesterdays game was really fun. We won 17 to 7. When I got a chance to play, I hustled as much as I could. I got hit in the head with a basketball when I was trying to rebound the ball. When we had to run to the other side I twisted my ankel, but I was okay. I had a great time at the game.
