The 7^th grade played their first tri-match of the season.  Brethren won the first game and the Portagers battled back to win the second.  So it came down to the last game and Brethren came out on top.  Then the 7^th grade girls faced MCC and won two games in a row to win the match.  Great job girls. ~Coach Bradford

The Portagers 8^th grade team traveled to MCE to play their second tri-match of the season.  The eighth grade team started out playing a very good MCC team and lost the first two games: 21-16 and 21-16.  Then they faced Mason County Eastern and came out ready to play.  They won both games and played very well.  They won the first one with a score of 21-14 and the second one 21-13.  Great job ladies!

The 7^th grade lady Portagers traveled to Manistee Catholic Central and won one of three games.  Every game was very exciting and close.  MCC won the first game 25-22 and the Portagers battled back to win the second one 25-21.  So it came down to the last game and MCC came out on top with 15 to 12.  Great job girls!

The 7^th grade girls volleyball team traveled to Manistee to take on Manistee Publics 7^th grade team.  The 7^th graders came out and played extremely hard but came up just short in all three games.  The lady Portagers lost with score of 25-20, 25-17 and 15-13.

The 8^th grade volleyball team traveled to Manistee to take on Manistee Public 8^th grade team.  The 8^th girl team came ready to play against the lady Chippewas.  It took three games to decide the outcome of the match and the last match came down to a single point.  The lady Portagers lost the first game 25-17.  They battle back and won the second match 25-22.  The last match came down to the final point and the lady Portagers came up just short with a score of 15-14.  Great Job Ladies!  ~Coach Bradford

The 7^th grade volleyball team traveled to Bear Lake to face Bear Lake for the first time this year.    The girls played extremely hard and lost the first game to the Lakers with a score of 21-18.  They battled back to with the second game with a score of 21-19.  Then it came down to the last game and Bear Lake won the last game 15-10. Great win Ladies!

The seventh grade team traveled to Brethren and won all three games against the Brethren Bobcats.    In all three games the seventh graders did  a great job communicating on the floor.  The first match Onekama won by a score of 21 to 15.  The second match Onekama won 21-16 and we won the final game 15-11.  Great job ladies! 

The eighth grade team came ready to play winning two of the three matches against the Brethren Bobcats.  The first match Onekama won by a score of 21 to 12.  The second match Onekama won 21-17.  Brethren won the final game in overtime 21-19.  Great job ladies!  ~Coach Bradford

The 7^th grade girls came up just short in their first two games against Brethren.  Brethren won the first game 21-11 and won the second game 21-19.  The girls have not beat Bear Lake this season..  However last night it took three exciting games but the lady Portagers finished their season with a victory.  They lost the first game 21-13 and battle back to win the second one 21-14.  It then came down to the last game and the girls won 15-13.  Great Job and Great Season Ladies!  ~Coach Bradford 

The 8^th grade Lady Portagers came out ready to play again against the lady Bobcats.  They beat Brethren in the first game 21-17 and won the second game 21-9 to win the match.  Then the girls played Bear Lake in the last match of the night.  The girls lost to the Lakers in two games.  The Lady Portagers lost the first game 23-21 in overtime and lost the second game 25-18 in overtime.  The 8^th grade girls split with the Lakers during the regular season with each of them winning two matches each.  The 8^th grade team will now travel to Big Rapids Crossroads for the conference tournament.  Great job Ladies! ~Coach Bradford
