Portagers 40, Sabers 14! After an open season loss to the
county rival Brethren Bobcats, the young Portagers finally got the train
back on the tracks and took it to the Manistee Catholic Central Sabers.
The Portagers took and maintained full control of the game right from the opening possession to the final buzzer. Keeping the ball on the ground, they avoided any costly turnovers and posted 321 yards of total yardage. Quinn Matthews lead the rushing attack with 114 yards, including 2 TD's and a conversion. Adrian Norman, taking over the reins at QB, showed off his speed and strength with 2 long TD runs along with a 2pt after, for a total of 83yds. Pounding his way up the middle, Scott Wethy added an additional 58 yds, including a TD and PA. Miller, Josh Santa, Christian Novak and Florian truly stepped up and
busted some tremendous holes for the backfield.

over a 100 yards of total offensive. Fogarty led the team in tackles,
with a total of 9 solo's. followed by Florian with 5 takedowns and

interception that kept the Sabers out of the end zone and led to another
