Yesterday my class and I went to the Portage Lake Bible Camp it was really run. When we got there we played many tag games. We also played a game that you needed a partner and they said like head to shoe then you had to put your head on your partners shoe. Then we split up into our groups. I was in Mrs. Scheppelmann's and Ben's group Ben is one of the staff members there. Then we went down to the beach and played another game were we had to steel a marble from the evil wizards and we only could use a piece of p.v.c. pipe. You couldn't walk with it so it had to role through the pipe, and it was a little hard because when it went through our pipe we had to go to the end of the line so it could reach a certain spot that Ben said we had        to pass the marble over so it would be out of the wizards layer. Then we walked to the missing bridge. There were three different plat forms, and and only two pieces of wood, one was bigger than the other. We had to work to together to find out how to get everyone from one platform to the other with only the boards. That took us at least more than an hour. Than we all went to lunch, and it was good. They supplied all of the food for us. Then we all (the whole class) went to the flying squirrel, and the rock wall was first up for me. I didn't finish the rock wall because it was not flat like the other one that I was on. Then I went to the flying squirrel. It had two telephone poles, two rubber ropes, two lathes at the top, and a rope that went through the latches, and it was hooked on to you and the other end was were the rest of the group pulled you so you would fly really high up into the air. It was amazingly cool to be and see up that high. I would do it again and again if I could. Than we sadly had to go back to school. That's what we did yesterday. ~Kaitlin Kubiskey.

On Thursday 10/31/07 we went to Portage lake Covenant bible camp. I already went there for the camp, that was awesome. We were put in to three groups, I was with Miss, Ramsey. We did activities that brought out teem work. The first one we did we had to get to one place to another using mats so we set some out, oh and if we picked are foot off one it would be taken. Then we would stat moving we would pass the last ones up. The second thing we did was we had to swing on a rope to this wooden platform and put are whole group of 11 on there. Then we did the spider web, we had to lift me up and put me on the other side to others. Then we went to whale watch were we had to balance out a teeter-totter, that one went fast. Then the squeeze box, that one was painful. Then lunch. After lunch we went rock wall climbing, I climbed to the top. But I did not go on the flying squirrel. That is were they launch you in the air on a rope. Well it was fun and I will probably go to camp this year.   ~Mitchel Clark

Yesterday our class went to the Portage Lake Bible Camp. We got into three different groups. One with Miss. Turk, one with Mrs. Ramsey, and one with Mrs. Scheppelmann. I was with Miss. Turk and a tour guide named Jenn. In Miss. Turk's group was David, Mariah, Claire, Brittany H, Logan, Dylan, Sam B, Alex, and me. We did many fun activities. First we had to move uranium from its platform, that didn't work out that well. Then we went somewhere called islands and cannibals were chasing us and we had to get across the islands( little square blocks in the ground) we had to balance on the small end of wood. After that we had lunch. I  had bread stix with sauce. Then we climbed a rock wall I made it to the top twice, one on the easy side and one on the hard side. After that it was time to go. I love bible camp! ~Faith Moerdyk

Yesterday was really fun and cool. I learned that it's better talk to somebody if you want them to do something, not yell. That is also a good way to get friends. Just like my mom always says 'If you want a friend, you have to be a friend.'
When we got there we played people to people, Wizards and Gelfrings, and Knee tag. Wizards and Gelfrings was my favorite. There were two Wizards and the rest of us were Gelfrings. The Wizards had  to try and freeze all of the Gelfrings with their magical orbs. When one of the Gelfrings were frozen the others gather around and in a high and squeaky voice they say 'Be free Gelfring, be free.' There have to be at least two gelfrings surrounding the frozen one. Five or six and a wizard is destroyed.
Then we had rock wall climbing and a flying squirrel. I tried them both, they were very fun except for the rock wall sort of. Because, on the rock wall because I couldn't get very high. Mrs. Sheppelmann, Mr. Turk, and Ms. Ramsey went on the flying squirrel it was so funny.  ~Courtney D.

Yesterday October 31st we went to PLCBC.  Well the day started off by getting to school well getting on the bus form me I think unless my mom gave me a rid and I just forgot. Well everybody who was going came to the class room. The bout a 25 after eight we all got one the bus. By that time I was really hot because we had to wear  really worm clothing and I did.
Then we got off the bus from our long bus ride it was 5 minutes. It felt like a million years.. no really. At first I though t I wouldn’t have a good time but ten we got out there and did our activities. Well firs we got into our groups and o tell you the truth I did not like my group at all there were people I just hated ok I didn’t hate them I just didn’t like them.
When we got out off the bus. We all went by the lunch area and we all stud up and the guy talked to us all. Then we played a couple of games to warm up and to get our blood going then we each had a person that worked at the camp come with us and show us how to play games we our group did 4 or 5 games. Oh my group was Sami, Levi, Mitchel, Emily, Will, Nisha, and that’s it I think. There was on thing that really worked and it was team work and It helped the whole day.
Then we went in for lunch and we all sat with out groups and we all had a lot off fun.  A least I did. Then after lunch we all climbed the rock wall well most of us and we and the flying square.
Then we all packed up and went home. ~ Mikelle L.
