Tawny Kott leads Portagers past Walkerville

WALKERVILLE — The Onekama girls basketball team picked up its third straight West Michigan D League win with a 61-40 victory against Walkerville on Monday night.

 Tawny Kott led the Portagers (3-6, 3-4 WMD) with 20 points, Jennica Mathieu had 13 points and 13 rebounds while Hailey Kott scored nine to go with nine rebounds and five steals. Also for Onekama, Kelly Koon and Lindsay Nesburg scored eight apiece.

“I thought the girls came out and put forth a good effort,” said Onekama coach Nathan Bradford
