WALKERVILLE — Onekama opened a 20-point lead in the first half and cruised down the stretch for a 59-37 West Michigan D League win against Walkerville on Thursday.

 Hailey Kott led the Portagers (6-9, 5-7 WMD) with 16 points while Tawny Kott and Jennica Mathieu scored 13 apiece and Kelly Koon eight.

“We started off pretty good,” Onekama coach Nathan Bradford said of the 19-point first quarter. “Everyone chipped in tonight and did a great job.”
