ONEKAMA — Baldwin topped Onekama 68-46 Wednesday night in a West Michigan D League game to sweep the season series with the Portagers.

“We had trouble with them down at their place and we did again tonight,” said Onekama coach Jim Hunter. “They played tough D.”

Onekama (2-13, 2-11 WMD) was forced to play catch-up most of the way after a 17-13 deficit after the first quarter and a 38-27 gap at the break.

The Panthers (10-5, 9-4 WMD) scored 21 third-quarter points while holding the Portagers to 11 in the third for a comfortable cushion down the stretch.

Onekama’s Quinn Matthews scored 13 points with four assists and three steals while teammates Alex Welch scored 19 and Austin Barnett grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.
