On Saturday 8/25/07 the Bear Lake/Onekama Cross Country teams started the season off at Benzie  running in the white division against class C and D schools under partly cloudy skies.

The Varsity Girls were off and running at the sound of the gun a little after 10:00 a.m.

The Varsity girls took 3^rd place overall out of 12 full teams and 88 girls ran this race. In 1^st place was Kingsley with 84 points, 2^nd place was Manton with 92 points, 3^rd place was Bear Lake/Onekama with 106 points, 4^th was Mason County Eastern 124 points

Order of finish for our girls is

• 13^th Brenna Miller        22:10 Medal

• 15^th Shelby Sidor         22:24 Medal

• 29^th Toby Schoedel      23:29 (1^st Varsity race and Personal Record

• 31^st Katie Alkire           23:39 Medal

• 45^th Anna Veverica       24:41

• 48^th Taylor Hagen        24:44 (1^st Varsity race and Personal Record)

• 62^nd Katherine Schmoke 26:51 (1^st Varsity race and Personal Record)

• Boys Race at Benzie

For the Girls in the Junior Varsity race where they put all 4 classes together there was 2 runners from Bear Lake/Onekama there place of finish is

• 39^th Alex Callaway              26:08
