V. Girls’ Basketball team pulled out an exciting win against the
Pentwater Falcons during high school basketball action Friday
night. The Portagers established a lead from the very beginning and
were able to maintain it throughout all four quarters. Aside from
the Portagers’ offensive performance, the J.V. girls’ were able to
defensively shut down a standout player from Pentwater who put 27
points on the board against the Portagers earlier in the season; she
tallied only 8 points at the final buzzer on Friday night! The
final score of the game was 41-31.

Leading the offensive attack
for the Portagers was Sherece Revolt with 18 points followed by
Taylor Hagen with 12 points. Also scoring for the Portagers were
Katie Prielipp and Lexi Howard with 4 points apiece, Diamond Kimpel
with 2 points and Ashley DeRooy with a free throw.
The Portagers will next see
action Monday night as they travel to Mesick for a non-conference
match-up with the Bulldogs. Tip-off is 6 pm. Good Luck J.V.
