The
Onekama baseball team rode the outstanding pitching of Jim
Kosiboski and Thomas Koon to two wins over the Pentwater
Falcons.
In game
one, Onekama scored 3 times in the first inning and then added
one more in the fifth to win the game by a score of 4 to
nothing. Jim Kosiboski went all 6 innings to earn the win
allowing only 2 hits while striking out 8. Ryan Miller, Alex
Block and Kevin O’Connor had 2 hits each to pace the offensive
attack.

In game two, the
Portagers scored 5 runs in the first inning and scored in every inning
in route to a 15 to nothing win. Thomas Koon pitched all 4 innings of
the game and allowed only one hit while recording 8 strike outs. Danny
Gillespie had 3 hits in the game while Thomas Koon, Jim Kosiboski and
Ryan Miller added 2 hits each.
