Onekama headed over to Bear Lake to play the Lakers in the first conference game of the 2007 season and fell to them in three games. In the first game we lost 16-25, team struggled to get the ball up to the setter for the spike. Second game we lost 17-25, tonight we just didn't work together as a team, no communication on the floor. Third game we worked better together but just couldn't pull off the win and lost 23-25. Senior Ronnie Maidens lead her team with 7pts, was the teams top passer with 34 digs and was also the team lead setter with 20sets, she also had 3 tips and 1 spike. Chelsea Miller, Stacey Keith and Marlee Herkelrath helped their team with 4 pts each. |
Sophomore Chelsea Miller also had 12 digs, 4
spikes with two kills and 6 assists and 1 tip. Sophomore Stacey
Keith added 17 passes and 3 spikes, with 15 sets, 2 tips and 3 assists.
Senior Meghan Nesburg covered the backrow in the first game by playing
the libero and helping her team with 18 digs and 4 spikes and 1 pt.
Alyssa Cole and Julie Schoedel both scored 3 pts. each, with Alyssa with
16 digs and 9 spikes with one kill and 3 assists. Julie was strong in
serving position and also had 2 digs and 1 spike. Kelsey Acker played
the libero in the second and third game and also helped with 19 digs and
3 assists. Olivia Bolthouse and Paige Rutowski helped their team with
defense. Tonight we struggles to get back on track after coming off
holiday break. We look forward to coming up against them later in the
