Thursday Jan. 18 The Onekama Portagers
went up against MCE Cardinals and lost in three games-15-25,
4-25, 13-25. The Cardinal played a great game and we just
couldn't get our game together tonight, we play hard but had
alot of mistakes. The Lady attack the net hard but just
couldn't put the ball away. Leading the Portagers in serves was
Stephanie Ashworth with 3 points, 24 passes, 4 spikes and 5
assists. Kelsey Acker was the teams top defensive player in the
back row with 30 digs, 2 points, 3 spikes, 1 block and 5
assists. Stacey Keith added 2 points, 27 digs, 2 spikes, 2
blocks and 13 sets.

Ronnie Maidens and Alyssa Cole each scored
1 pt., Ronnie also had 29 digs 3 spikes with 2 kills, 2 blocks and
was the teams top setter with 20 sets, 4 tip and 1 assists. Marlee
Herkelrath and Chelsea Miller both had 9 passes each with Marlee
getting 2 spikes and her first block. Chelsea had 7 attacks at the
net with 3 tips and 3 assists. Alyssa helped her team with 7
spikes, and 2 kills. Meghan Nesburg, Paige Rutowski, Olivia
Bolthouse and Julie Schoedel help their team on defense. We
struggled against the Cardinals with their strong hitters and very
