Tonight the
Lady Portager started out their season traveling to Frankfort.
Tonight we shut down the Lady Panthers in three games: 26-24,
25-23, 26-24. This was a huge win for our first game of our
season. We came out tough on the net and with some powerful
serving to win the match. Senior Ronnie Maidens was out top
scorer with 14pts, most digs with 30, was the teams top setter
and had 6 tips. Senior Meghan Nesburg scored 13 pts, with 16
digs and 2 assists. Senior Stephanie Ashworth scored 10pts,
with 26 digs and 11spikes and 4 tips. Sophomore Stacey Keith
added 3 pts, 23 digs out of the back row with 7 spikes and the
first block of the season, 13 sets and 3 tips.

Chelsea Miller and Alyssa Cole helped
their team with 6 pts. each. Alyssa also
had 13 digs 8 spikes and 2 assists. Chelsea also helped in the
back row with 15 passes and 2 spikes and 4 assists. Marlee
Herkelrath, Julie Schoedel, Paige Rutowski, and Olivia Bolthouse
also came off the bench to help their team with their win over
the Panters. The team play very well together and I am looking
forward to a great season. We face Mesick Monday Dec. 18
