Brethren vs Onekama

Onekama loses 2 to Brethren at the Brethren diamond. 5-7 and 2-12.

Brethren scored all of their runs in the first two innings in the first game , but the Portagers held them right there. " I was really proud of the guys for coming back like they did", commented Coach Clouse. Dan McElreath struck out 9 and walked 2. Mike Fredericks had a single, a double and scored 2 runs. Joey Mitchell was the starting pitcher and Lance Osborne and Dave

Gillespie relief pitched. "He did and excellent job," stated Clouse when speaking about Gillespie. Mike Fredericks was 2 for 3 and Tom Gillespie was also 2 for 3. Instead of locking up second place in the league tonight,

OHS is in a tug of war with Brethren for second place in the league. There is a Tournement at Kingsley this Sat., 5-8-04, with Kingsley, Forest Area and Onekama. OHS start time is set for 11:00 am.

Our batters could really slug them out there!

Another OHS batter gives it his all for the team and fans!

The snowbirds are back! Coach Taylor and his wife visit with Mr. Fredericks and I during the game. The Taylors said they followed us (OHS) closely all winter from the OHS Website!

Mike Fredericks ducks down from a wild Bobcat pitch that almost hit him. They eventually walked him.

Jim Clouse has a heart to heart with our catcher.

Dominic warms up his throws and catches during the first couple of innings.

Coach Kehrer and Coach Clouse confer with each other, then speak with pitcher and catcher between innings.

The first couple of innings were trying to say the least, but the guys regroup and make a comeback as well as hold the Bobcats.
