Onekama's Ski Team
Girls Slalom: Kaylie Mathieu stepped up tonight and made sure that Suttons Bay knew OHS was not to be taken lightly. Speeding down the course in Slalom with a combined time of 1:01.91 she secured her first place spot. Caitlin Brooks said she seconds that motion and comes flying in with a combined time of 1:01.95 for the second place. Kelli Hopwood came in 5th with her time of 1:07.78 and Charlotte Kalbach took 7th with a combined time of 1:10.64. Amanda Redder hung in there and grabbed 9th place with a time of 1:33.64 Boys GS gave us a couple of hikes in a rough spot, but once again, Ben LaDuke produces the fastest time for OHS with a combined time of :40.33 for 4th place. Ben Momber secured 6th with :41.83, Travis Berklund 8th with :43.00, Tom Meoak 10th with :47.46. Chris Smith came in 11th due to a hike on his first run. His second run did bring a great time of :20.81 which would have had him in the 5th spot. Jackson Carter came in 12th, running into the same problems as Chris. His second run was :20.80! Boys Slalom put Ben in 5th, Jackson Carter 6th, Chris Smith 7th, Ben Momber 8th, Tom Meoak 12th , Travis Berklund 13th.Congratulations Girls on your win against Suttons Bay and keep up the good work both teams! Girls Beat Suttons Bay at Crystal Mountain: January 29, 2002 Girls Slalom Girls GS Boys SLalom Boys GS Girls GS put Caitlin Brooks in first with a combined time of :40.56. Kaylie Mathieu raced down and grabbed 3rd with her time of :41.18 and Kelli Hopwood right on her heels with 41:68 for 4th. Charlotte Kalbach came in 5th and Amanda Redder 9th. |
