It was October 6, 2011 when Mrs. Bennett's class went to White Pine Village. Everyone met at school. Then we headed out. White Pine Village is in Ludington. When we got there we had to go with our chaperone. My chaperone was my friend Colleen's dad. In my group I had my friends Emma, Ella, Coleen and myself. Mrs. Bennett told every that we had to write and answer some questions and there are 45 places. Well, we had a lot of work so we got started right away. Some of the places that we went to were the school house, museum of music, old house, and post office, doctors and Hardware store. But there is still more. Now I will tell you about those places. One is the old school house. It has 44 stars on the flag in the room. We learned how they got discipline by getting slapped with a ruler and wearing a dunce cap if they did not get a question right. We also saw a woman making donuts. It smelled great. We also got to help make apple cider and it was pretty cool. Well there was a lot more there. I just picked my favorite. But I saved the best for last. We got Ice cream there. It was mighty amazing. I wish I could go again.

Hi, my name is Shauntelle. I'm going to tell you about Wite Pine Village. Mrs. Bennett and Mrs. Eichberger's classes went there. When we got there we had to go with by our partners and their chaperones. Then we got to go by the oak tree and sat down and ate our lunches. And then we got to go where ever we wanted. First I went to the Doughnut Shop. A lady showed us how to make doughnuts. We got to eat one. They are really good. Then we went to a mail house where a girl showed us where and how to ship it in the old days. Then the lady showed us the Laundry mat called "Cherrytop Laundrymat" and the lady had a wish washer and she showed us how to use it .  It was fun. My partners Maggie, Taylor Y., Madeline. We went to a stand. We got to make acorns. A lady gave us chocolate, cookies and a creamy chocolate. Then we made it and ate it. Yummy. Then we went to the graveyard. It was real. Real people died. A girl died named Wendy Thomas at the age of 8 years old. I feel bad for her. I hope I can go back to White Pine Village.

On October 6, 2011 we went to White Pine Village. By we I mean Mrs. Bennett's 4th graders and Ms. Eichberger's 4th graders. When we went to White Pine Village we saw an awesome one room school house. If you got one question wrong you had to sit on a stool, face the wall, and wear a Dunce cap. If you don't listen your discipline was you got you knuckles hit with a stick. The people in my group were Justin, Taylor and Chloe. My chaperone was Mrs. Bennett. In Mrs. Mauntler's group there was Luke, Jose, Caden and Hayden. We ate our lunch on the stage. After lunch we went on a hayride. That is what I did at White Pine Village.

I went to White Pine village. My chaperone was  my Mom and we had Haydaen, Caden, Jose and me. When we got there the pus parked on the baseball field. When we all got off the bus my Mom's group and Mrs. Bennett's group traveled together in one big group. The first one we went to was the time Museum. It was all about ships. Then we ate lunch. Then we went to get ice cream. Then we went to the candy shop. Then we went to the gift shop. Next it was time to go to the school.

I went to White Pine Village on Oct. 6, 2011. The first place Jackson, Kolin and I went to was the school house and we learned that they used a slate to write on. In the school house the flag had 44 stars. School was only 4 hours long-half of what we have in 2011. The school house opened in 1878. that's an old building. It stood from 1878 -2011. I think that's 100 years old.

In the middle of the village a man showed us how to make apple cider. He put apples in a little hand machine. He made the apples into--well, I don't know what it is but he pressed it. The juice was apple cider.

The third place we got to was a place where I went on a field trip last year. We stayed there for about 15 minutes then we went to a place where we saw more steelhead and a very nice log cabin. When we got to the last stop there was a rope swing. When we were 20 minutes from the end of the trip we hit a stop sign thing that goes in the ground and I almost fell out. Then we went the rest of the hour and we were done.  Well that's the story of my canoe trip.

On the trip to White Pine Village we had an awesome time. We first got on the bus and left. My dad was chaperoning us. In our group we had Emma, Hanna, and Ella. My dad was driving there but he got there before us. We first had to go and get our questionaires and a map of the village. First we went and put our lunches under a tree. Then we went to the post Office then we went to the guy who was making Apple Cider but we didn't get any apple cider. It really looked good. When we went to the post Office it wasn't like our post office like we have today. The had little slots and they had bars where the person was standing. I really liked the tip. It was awesome. I wish we could go again.

White Pine Village was awesome. A thing that I was was Old Time Sawmill. There was  machines that were carrying lumber. My chaperone was Mrs. Mauntler and Luke and Hayden. We saw a guy making arrow heads and knives. With a deer horn and a rock that was very cool. We all got to go on a hay ride. But that did not last long. It was still fun. My favorite part was the old store. I really liked that place.
