Jackie Robinson

    Jackie Robinson was a fantastic African American baseball player. Jackie Robinson’s full name was Jack Roosevelt Robinson. Jackie was born on January 31,1919 in Cairo, Georgia. He was married to Racial Issum. They had three kids. Their names were Jackie Jr., Sharon, and David. Sadly Jackie Jr. died In 1971. Jackie Robinson’s parents were Jerry and Mallie Robinson. He also had three brothers and one sister. Jackie went to UCLA. His was playing Major League Baseball. Sadly Jackie Robinson died on October 24,1972 in Stanford Connecticut. Jackie Died of heart problems.
    Jackie Robinson played an outstanding role in African American history. Jackie Robinson was the first African American to play major League Baseball. He broke the color barrier. He hit 137 home runs in his carrier. Jackie played for the Brooklyn Dodgers. He played M.L.B. for nine years. In 1947 he was the M.L.B. rookie of the year. Jackie Robinson was in the military before his baseball carrier. In 1962 Jackie was entered in the the baseball hall of fame. He played second base. He also hit the ball 1,518 times and stole 197 basses. Jackie Robinson was an outstanding African American baseball player.

 

 

Oprah Winfrey

    Oprah Winfrey was born on January 29, 1954 in Kosciusko, Mississippi.  Winfrey's real name is Oprah Gale Winfrey and was nick - named Oprah at a young age.  Winfrey's first sister Patrica was born in 1955. Sadly Patrica died because of a Co- Cain addiction. Then in 1956 Winfrey's second sister was born and was also named Patrica. Oprah's mother Vernet Lee Winfrey put her up for  adoption. She also gave Oprah up for adoption. Then Oprah ran away from the orphanage and went to live with her grandmother Hatte Mae lee. Then at age 13 her mother wanted her back. she was sent back only find out that she was getting sent to father Vernon Winfrey.  When she was 14 she was raped and had a son. Sadly her son died as an infant. After her son died she ran away from her father and moved in with her mother. Then in 1989 her mother gave birth to a son Jeffry. Jeffry died as a baby because of AIDS- related causes.    
    Oprah attended Licoln Middle School.She went to licon for two years. She never went to Elementary School. She went to church ensted. When it came time for high School She attended Nicholat high School. At nicholat high School Winfrey became a Honor student. She moved to Nashville's high school on her Senior year. Then She got an scholar ship to Tennessee state university. Winfrey's first job was working at a Radio station. Then she became a Show co- host. In 1983 Winfrey  got her own talk show. Known as the Oprah Whinnfrey show. Oprah takes place in African American History by being the first black women to have her own tv show. She was also once the first and only black women to be a billionaire. Two fun facts are that Oprah was so smart she skipped sixth grade. Oprah also opened a school only for girls all the way in Africa. Oprah is a great African American Women
 

 

Ella Baker

    Ella Baker worked for the civil rights for African Americans. Ella Baker does not have a middle name but all her friends called her Ella. Mrs. Baker was born in Norfolk,Virginia. died December 13 1986 in New York. Ella baker married T.J Roberts in the 1930’s she was married 4 years. Ella Baker had no children. Went to school at Shaw University helped out with the African Americans. Mrs. Baker was known as  a incredible civil rights activist. Ella Baker worked with the NAACP, known as the Southern Christan Leadership Conference and the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee. She did all that in the 1930’s. Ella Baker started 3 organizations to help African Americans.
 

She worked with W.E.B. Dubious, and Thur good Marshall,Philip Randolph,Martin Luther King Jr. She also worked with young civil right  Stalwarts know as Diane Nash Stockily Carmichael,Rosa Parks,Bob Mosses. Ella Baker was a really confident women. Ella Baker worked with nine incredible people that also helped in the civil rights act movement. She also worked for Martin Luther King Jr.  She helped him which was the first president.  She helped fight for her rights. While fighting for rights she lived in New York.  Her friends were Bob Mosses,Rosa Parks, Dianne Nash, Stockily Carmichael.  She had so many friends because she was nice. Ella Baker was a amazing women.

      Ms. Jackson full name is Janet Jackson. Janet was born on May 16,1966 she was born in Gray Indiana. She didn’t die. She is living a happy life with her husband. She dose not have kids. She has Two sisters Latoya Jackson is the 2 oldest one of the sisters, Rebbie Jackson is the oldest. She has 6 brother Micheal Jackson, Randy, Jackie, Marlon, Jermaine, Joseph those are Janet Jackson family. Janet Jackson Had a little brother Brandon Jackson who died at birth. Also Janet’s Brother Micheal was a singer. She loved writing songs. She went to Lanai Road & Portal middle school she left Portal because she was getting bulled. she Graduated from Valley Professional School. She loves to sing. Janet was a singer and a model.
     The role of African American History  was she is a singer. Janet is 45 Years old. The Jackson family lost two kids Brandon and Micheal. Micheal died  June 25,2009. Her parents were proud that she was singer. People say she has a secret daughter But nobody nose. The place were she Recorded her song was A.M. In 1991 she signed her first record off. Mae C. Jeminson

Mae C. Jeminson is an extraordinary astronaut. She was born in 1977 at Decataur, Alabama. She is 55 and retired  right now. She did not get married and has no kids. In 1977 she graduated from Stanford University and was excepted into the NASA in 1887. Mae loved science growing up but also loved the arts. She was inspired by Martin Luther King and his speech. Her occupation was being a astronaut and a president of two technology companies.

Mae C. Jeminson was the first African American to go into space and land on the moon. She had landed on the moon in 1992, September 20. Did you know, Mae’s family moved to Chicago, Illinois when she was only three? Also, Mae speaks Russia, Japanese, and Swahili as well as English. Her flight was only one of her accomplishments, because she was also a president for two companies, she was very proud of that. Mae C. Jeminson was a very inspiring woman.

Michelle Obama

    Michelle Obama was born on January 17, 1964 in Chicago Illinois. Her full name is Michelle LaVaughn Obama. Mrs. Obama attended Princeton University. Now she practices law licence. She married Barack Obama in 1992. They have two girls. There oldest is Maylia. She was born in1998. There youngest is Sasha, she was born in 2001.Sasha’s real name is Natasha.   
 

Mrs. Obama`s role in African American history is she is the first black presidents wife. She is also a role model for woman nutrition and healthy eating. She is also the first lady. One interesting fact is she was raised in a one-bed room apartment. Another fact is she had an older brother Craig. They are 16 months apart in age. Sometimes people thought they were twins. Mrs. Obama also took gifted classes. She and her brother wanted to go to the best school possible. They named their first daughter, Gloria, in 1932. They were married until Owens died. Owens Education was he went to Ohio State university or Cleveland Ohio high school.Owens Occupation was served as secretary of the Illinois state Athletic commission. He did  work at public relations.
          James Owens role in African American history was track and field athlete. Owens set a long jump world record. That stood over 25 years. He won four gold medals. At 1936, Berlin Oympic games. Some interesting facts, Hitler refused to shake hands with Owens. Because he was a African American. At the games in Germany. Owens won four gold medals. Owens was the fastest African American runner in the world.

Magic Johnson

    Magic Johnson was a phenomenal African American basketball player. Magic’s true name is Earvin Johnson. He was born on August 14,1959 in Lansing Michigan. Magic was married to Earlith Kelly. He has three kids. His two boys are Andre Johnson and Earvin Johnson III. Magic’s only daughter is Elisa Johnson. He went to Evart high school in Lansing. He went to MSU for his collage years. his jobs were a basketball player, an entrepreneur, philant, a broadcaster, and a motivational speaker. Magic was the best player in the NBA.
    Magic was such a good basketball player he was one of the top African American basketball payer ever to play basketball. When he played for the Lakers he won an Olympic gold medal. His Main position was point guard. He retired three times. In Magic’s carrier he got 17,707points, 6,559 rebounds, and got 10,141 assists. Magic got an M.V.P award in his rookie season in the NBA. He got three M.V.P awards throughout his hole career. Magic’s Biggest rival is Larry Bird. He was one of the best basketball players of all time. Magic still does rival basketball games with Larry Bird. Magic was one of the best African American basketball player.     

   

Michael Jackson

    Michael Jackson played an outstanding role in African American history. Michael was born on August 29, 1958 in Gary, Indiana. His full name was Michael Joseph Jackson, although they called him M.J. His occupations were singer, songwriter, musician, composer, dancer, choreographer, record producer, actor, businessman, and philanthropist. He got married to Lisa Marie Presley on May 26, 1994 and got divorced in 1996. Then he got married a second time to Debbie Rowe on November 14, 1996. They had two children named Prince and Paris. Sadly they got divorced on October 8, 1999. As a young child when his record making started he was educated in his home by Rose Fine. She created a hard curriculum for four hours. Even though he was home schooled he attended regular school until age 11.
 

Michael Jackson was one of the first African American superstars. He had embraced the spirit of all African Americans. Michael Jackson became one of the best examples of black singers. He was nicknamed King Of Pop by Elizabeth Taylor. She awarded him with an award at the American Music Awards. He created two dance moves, the moonwalk and robot. Some of his hit albums were Thriller and Bad. Thriller was nominated 12 grammy awards and won eight. Sadly Michael Jackson died on June 25, 2009 at age 50. His death was caused by drug overdose. Michael Jackson was one of the best African American singers.

Chuck Berry was born October 18, 1926 in San Jose California. He is now known as the “Father Of Rock And Roll”. Chuck got an education in Entertainment and Arts and became a singer, songwriter and a guitarist. On October 28, 1948 he got married to a girl named Themeta.

Chuck Berry is still alive and is eighty-six years old. His hit song “ Johney B Goode” is played and sung by Michael J Fox on the movie “ Back To The Future”. Before Chuck graduated from high school he was arrested. Chuck also did the famous duck walk while playing the guitar. He was a very funny guy and he’s still very funny. He is eighty-six years old and still does the duck walk.
 

Chuck Berry also had other songs like “Maybellene, Run Run Rudolph, Roll Over Beethoven and School Days. Part of Chuck’s hit song Johney B Goode was put on the voyager one’s “Sounds Of Earth” record. Right now Chuck has a cherry red Gibson guitar. Without Chuck Berry there wouldn’t be rock and roll. If you look up Rock and Roll, you might see Chuck’s name in the book. Chuck Berry was most famous in the late fiftys, when he tarted writing songs. Chuck gets alot of different guitars. His garage is probably full of them. So full he can’t fit his car in there. Chuck Berry is an amazing guy.

    Christopher Julius Rock lll was a stand up comedy comedian. Mr.Rock was born February 7, 1965 in Andrews South Carolina, U.S. He was married to Malaak Compton Rock  since November 23, 1996. Malaak is the founder and executive director of Style Works, a non profit full-service salon that provides free services for women leaving welfare and entering the war force. He also has 2 daughters named Lola Simone (born June 28, 2002). Zarhra Savanah (born may 22, 2004). Malaak had a boy named Haardaza. Mr.Rock skipped elementary and went to James Madison High School were he was bullied alot so his parents pulled him out of school. Mr.Rock is a american comedian, actor, screenwriter, television producer and director. He was voted in the U.S. as the 5th greatest standup comedy of all time by comedy central. Chris Rock  is a great comedian.
    Christopher Julius Rock lll had a great part in American History. His dad served in the U.S. color troops during the Civil war. He died on March 7. After 21 years living his life. He risked his life by joining the units. Some interesting facts about Chris Rock is he was discovered by his idol Eddie Murphy. Chris is a high school drop out. He was born in Andrews South Carolina , but he was raised in Brooklyn New York. He began working in New York City comedy clubs as a young teen. Chris Rock won three Emmy Awards this far. He once helped to compose a humor magazine at Howard University. His grandfather was a preacher. He worked as a bus boy, and an orderly for a mental hospital before becoming famous. Chris had a great life with all those jobs.

Now they have 9 kids, 6 boys and 3 girls. The brothers names are Jackie, Michael, Marlon, Jermaine, Joseph, and Randy Jackson, and Latoya’s 2 sisters are Rebbie, and Janet Jackson. Latoya is a incredible singer she wrote allot of song.
     Role in the African American History  was she is a singer, entertainer, and is best known as a member of the musical Jackson Family. In the Jackson family hey have some thing called the Jackson 5. Latoya was one of the Jackson 5 but not any, because she wrote something about her husband that he is already dead.  She also was talking about her family too. Latoya’s  two interesting facts are, she was famous as some of her siblings. Latoya’s musical success includes the album
