Research Project

These are Language Arts content pictures.  I’ve combined the pictures of fourth grade and fifth grade.  The fourth graders had to pick a president that they would like to research and the fifth graders picked an African American to research. 

Using Resources,  Rough Draft, & Final Copy

Each student used a computer to go to the sites that were assigned and other resources to find information about their person, write a rough draft essay, type out a final draft, and they then had to share it with another class.  The pictures show each process; some in the lab, some writing their rough drafts, some typing the final draft, and some sharing. 

 Sharing & Speaking Skills

The fifth graders shared with the middle school, and the fourth graders shared with the third grade.  They were each scored by the teacher (not me) on a rubric on their speaking skills.  We did talk about speaking skills and expectations, and overall I think they all did well, even with being so nervous to speak in front of others.   ~Mrs. Bennett
