Fourth Grade Field Trip to Magoon Creek

Yesterday the 4th grade class went to Magoon Creek. It’s a 1 mile hike. We met 8 speakers. The first thing did was look at animals. We saw indian flutes. We seen soil treatment to see what kinds of soil are sick or well. Then we saw a bird watcher. We saw a very old house. We saw different types of trees. …Elijah  

          On May 15, we went to Magoon Creek. We had nine speakers but one diden’t come. The trip was an half hour long. We were right by Lake Michigan. The trail was one mile. We walked the hole trail. The first speaker was the animal speaker. The wood spokes men was a person that showed how the Indians wood make stuff out of wood. My favorite speaker was the wood guy because he was kind of funny. The wood guy was the best because he taught us about cirton tipes of wood and what wood was easier to make things out of. …Andrew  

          This year the fourth graders went to Magoon Creek on Tuesday, May 15th. It was so cold by lake Michigan .At Magoon Creek we saw pets there. We got on the trail and we had to take nine stops. It was a long time and we were hung and we finale got to eat. Magoon Creek was fun to be there. There was a teashop and you can look in the teashop it look cool inside of the teashop. It was fun at Magoon Creek.   …Hailey

          On May 15th all fourth grade went to Magoon Creek. It takes about a half an hour to get there. When we all arrived there were little animals. There were ponies , hens , and bunnies and goats. Then after we talked about the animals we went to this guy who makes flutes out of beautiful wood. That was interesting. The trail was one mile long. We met eight speakers. They talked about soil ,birds, and plants. After the hick we went to the Light House park in Manistee. We ate lunch and played. It rained a little bite. It was cold! From Light House park it didn’t take long to get to school but I was tired. I think we all had fun! …Hanah  

Two weeks ago we went to Magoon Creek. At Magoon Creek  we went on a two-hour hike. Every once in a while we would stop at a station. One of the stations we stopped at  was a bird watcher station. The man at the station told us about lots of different kinds of bird. At one of the stations a man talked about soil. Another station a lady talked about pollution. There were a lot of stations. After we left Magoon Creek we went to Light House Park. At the park we ate lunch and played for a while. It was a really fun day. …Megan S.

This year the forth grade went to Magoon creek. On Tuesday, May 15th.  At Magoon  Creek  the class saw a goat  a horse and a turkey and  a chickened the goats were fitting. We went to the horse cage then we went to the bunnies and we gees and egg want kind of bird was this animals. We felt sand and clay. Then we went with this guy and he showed us a bird and we got to hold it and it smiled bad and we got to fill a duck and it felt hard we felt the beck. The forth grade class came back. After went and felt the birds we went to light house park and we played a little bit. …Tawny  

          On Tuesday May 15, the fourth grade took a trip to Magoon creek. The hike was very long. My cousins live near Magoon creek. We stopped and listened to people. Talk about the place. We went to Lake Michigan  and there was a guy who talked to us about the fish of Michigan. My favorite parts was the Indian stuff and the guy who watches birds.           Last Tuesday the 15th , the fourth graders want to Magoon Creek . It was by Lake   Michigan. Our first person was Mrs. Hengey. She was with the animals. There were ponies , turkeys, goats, and rabbits. Are next person was are soil guy. The person was a bird watcher. We ate at the light house park. We played there to.     On Tuesday the 15th our class went to Magoon Creek. We had 8 speakers talk to us, the first speaker was Mrs. Hengy she brought her farm animals she had animals like bunnies, horses, three turkeys, and two goats. She talked about how to take care of them, and what bread they are and everything. Next we went to a speaker that made flutes. He called up some kids to try to use the flutes and other things, he had he called up Alexis up to use the rain shaker. After we went there we went to a man who studied dirt. He said that our dirt can get sick and that we needed to take care of it. Then we went to a man that studied birds, he was warring a bird watching outfit. He pulled out stuffed birds out of his pocket and told us about each bird. Then we came to a man who told us about farming and he was standing next to an old broken down house and talking about who used to live there. After we went to someone who taut  us about how to plant a tree, he said that if you can pull the tree out you did it wrong. Next we came down by Lake Michigan and a guy talked to us about fish, he said there is a fish called a sucker that is killing our great lakes fish. Finally we came to a woman talking about ground water and how if factories and farms keep running this slug and other things into the water we won’t be able to swim and fish in it. That was our trip to Magoon Creek. …Anna

On May ,15 my class went to a place called Magoon Creek. First we saw a bunch of animals. Their we’re rabbits , horses , and turkeys. We got shown eggs . Then we went to a guy who makes flutes. He showed us different kinds of flutes made out of different kinds of woods. He played every flute. Then we went to a guy and he was a soil scientist. He showed us different layers of soil. He let us have a sample of each soil. Then we went to a bird watcher. He showed us nests  and birds. Then we went to a guy and he shown us a very old stone house. Then he shown us trees and bushes. Then there was a guy who plants pine trees. Then we went to a guy water scientist. He shown us a bunch of fish on a chart and he showed us Magoon creek. Then we went to a girl who shown us a water chart  she put food coloring in the water on the chart and it ran into Lake Michigan not the real one though. Then we left and went to McDonalds.
