Onekama Elementary: Grade 5 travels on the Badger to Wisconsin

	The Badger Trip was very cool. First, we checked out everything on the boat. After we knew where everything was I played BINGO, Then after BINGO I went to the Arcade. When we finally got to Wisconsin almost everyone bought torpedo juice and we got to explore a real submarine. It was really small inside. After we finished seeing the submarine we went into the waterway. We got to play with boats there. Back on the Badger we watched Ice Age. Finally we returned to Ludington. We were all wishing we were still in the boat. It was a very fun trip. ....Cody
	The Badger was full of places. It had a museum, kid port, movie lounge, main lounge, restaurant, bathroom and car deck. The Badger had many games including a pinball game, egg game, Area 51, Bear Hunting, Duck Hunting Rush, Off Road, Simsons, Galactic Chaos, and Slug. We got not even an hour in Wisconsin. 	Yesterday, May 26, we went on the SS Badger trip. First I went up on deck and watched the sailor people unlatch the boat from the ramp. Then I went to the gift shop and bought some chocolates and a bracelet. It changes colors in the sun. Then I went to watch Finding Nemo. After that I got my face painted. I got a flower. We saw a little machine that shumushes pennies. I got three of each. At the submarine I saw a kitchen dining room, bathroom. The man that was our guide told us stories. Finally we went to the water room. We got to take boats and sail them down rivers. That was the most fun. I got to see how the canals work rising and lowering the water. I had a great time. ...Mariah
	The SS Badger was so fun. They had a huge arcade. We also played Bingo. I won a deck of cards. Cody and I were asleep part of the time. We slept in huge chairs on the top deck. When we got to Wisconsin we saw the museum. They had ships, guns, hunting, anything you could think of. Then we walked to the submarine. We got to see missals for the sub, and people that fought in World War II. We got to look through a telescope. You could see so far. 	The Badger was awesome. It had an arcade. The best thing on the boat was grand master bingo. I won a T-shirt. The idea of the bingo game is to fill up the whole card of numbers. After, we went to a museum that was awesome. It had an exhibit so we could make boats then test them. We also drank a lot of torpedo juice. Torpedo juice is rootbeer in a root beer bottle . It is really good and you can get it at the museum. We could look through a telescope in the museum. But the best part of the trip was riding back and forth on the Badger. ...Brandon G.
	The Badger was lots of fun, but it was smaller than I thought it would be. When we got inside the boat the lady told us everything. I thought the funniest part was going out on the deck and being watched by the camera. Some kids spent about two hours in the arcade. I couldn't even stay more than 25 minutes...It was cramped. Pretty soon we got to Wisconsin and went to the museum. There was a water park and TORPEDO JUICE. ...Katie

	I was mostly in the arcade room a lot. It was funny when Randy and Austin bought cheese hats. On the Badger it felt like we were in a motel. When we got across the lake we went into a submarine. It had guns. The rooms were very small on the submarine. ...Tanner When we got off the bus and were loaded on the Badger we were checked by a dog. It checks for bombs. ...Nicholas Yesterday we went on the SS Badger. First we started with the long exciting trip on the bus. When we got to the Badger we went to the AFT lounge. 	When After we got signed up to go on the Badger our bus driver, Judy, had to back up into the car carrier. Then we got to look around the ship.We got to look around the ship. The first place we went was the small arcade. Then we went to the mini movie theater. There was a gift shop with quite a bit of stuff. I bought a present for my mom because I didn't want to be selfish and tell her I didn't get anything for her. Four hours later we were in Wisconsin, got on the bus and left the ship. At the museum we split up. One group went to the museum first. I was in the group that went to the water works place where you get to do lots of things with water. Then we got on the bus and went back to the ship and started to go to the top. There was a camera watching us almost the whole way back. ....Jaylee

	Yesterday I went to the Badger. First a lady told us what we could do. Then Louise , my dad and I looked around the boat to find all the places. After that we played Badger bingo, then Louise and I watched Finding Nemo. Then we went on top of the deck. After that we ate our lunch and went down some long fun stairs to the bus and visited a maritime museum. There we got to make a boat and float it in water. My boat went through the Soo Locks and over a water falls. Then we went in a submarine. The sub was small inside. We saw real torpedoes! We went through a bunch of port holes. 	When I was on the Boat I played in the arcade. My favorite game was this game that you could drive a car or a truck and you could race around. We also played bingo and watched a movie. It took us 4 hours to go across Lake Michigan. When we got there we went into a submarine. We saw torpitos. It smelt like diesel in the submarine. They had a little bathroom and kitchen. On the way back across Lake Michigan I bought a cheese hat. ...Austin C. My mom and I were late. My mom was cold so she got some jeans. Then we drove to the Badger and I watched Phantom of the Opera. After that we got some breakfast. I walked around the ship and talked to some friends. I had a lot of fun on the boat. ...Zac

	The first thing that I did Yesterday was unload our stuff. Then we went into a game room. At the museum I saw a submarine and went inside it. It had a bad smell and it was really small. We got to see where the people slept and how they communicated and cooked. The whole day was really cool. I'm so glad that we went on the trip. I give special thanks to Mr. Hughes, Mr. Neph, Mrs. Stendal and most of all to Mrs. Judy. ...Shamika
	Yesterday we took a field trip on the SS Badger. When we got on the big carferry we sat in a small room to put our stuff in. They had lots of things to do. They had a huge deck to go on. It was a couple of hours until we got to Manitowoc. When we got there we went to the Maritime Museum. My group went on the Cobia Submarine. I think the most interesting part of the trip was when my dad took Dylan W. and me down to see how the SS Badger moved and see the engine and the people putting coal in the ship. I had so much fun on the trip! ...Sean
	When I got on the Badger I explored the ship. There was a T.V room, a video room, a games room, a kid room, a bathroom, a store and a Bingo food court. I went to the Bingo room and won the first game. I played for an hour. My mom won too. ..Sam

	Up on deck was really windy. Then we went inside and played Badger bingo, but I didn't win. After that we watched Finding Nemo and went to the arcade. It took four hours to get to Wisconsin. When we got there I was one of the first to go in a submarine. It was really cool. The submarine really smelled but it was fun. Our tour guy used to work in a submarine and he told us a bunch of stories while showing us the rooms. On the way back to Michigan we sat in beach chairs on deck. It was great and I hope to do it again. ...Lindsay
