Interviewing  First Graders

Interviewing Kayla

I interviewed Kayla. I asked her what kind of soup she made in her class. She said there was broccele, corn, potatoes, red pepper, salt and chicken in it. She said the soup was good. Then I asked what was her favorite  food at the feast. She said the corn was.

Kayla made a vest for the feast. It was made out of paper. She drew bear claws on it. She said she had a good time at the feast. I had a good time hearing about it from Kayla.

Louise

Louise liked Thanksgiving. She ate mashed potatoes and gravy, turkey and corn, stuffing, pumpkin pie and apple pie. She liked it all but she didn't eat too much

Louise went to her grandma's and that's where she had her Thanksgiving feast. The best part of it , she said was the games they played.

Louise likes to ski. She is lucky to live close to Crystal Mountain. It was fun interviewing Louise.

Interviewing Natasha

Today I interviewed a girl named Natasha. She was very shy. She didnāt answer my questions very well either. Whenever Taylor asked her kid a question she would answer her question and not mine. I did it though.

After I got her to start talking it was pretty easy to get my questions answered. I asked her what she did at home, and she said she liked to read at her house. Then I asked her if she had brothers or sisters. She told me she had two brothers ages three and five.

Bernice

I interviewed a little girl in 1st grade and her name was Bernice. She talked about the feast that she had in her class. She had veggie soup, corn bread, corn, and drinks. On Thanksgiving Bernice had turkey, ham, masked potatoes. For Thanksgiving Bernice and her family went out of state to her Grandma's house. Bernice likes Thanksgiving because she likes to spend time with her family.

In School Bernice likes to do math, reading, and spelling. Bernice likes her teacher. During the winter time Bernice likes to sled down the school hill and ski at Crystal Mountain. Bernice also likes to make snowmen with her friends.

 Interviewing Elijah

Today I interviewed a nice boy named Elijah.  He told me that he has lots of pets.  Some of the pets he had were 10 chickens, 1 cat named Princess, 2 dogs by the name of Seneth and Nalla, and one rooster.  He also told me that he used to have 2 hamsters. 

Elijah likes to go sledding in the winter.  When he goes sledding he sleds alone.  He also said he likes to make snow angels in the snow.  Then I asked him what he wanted for Christmas and he said that he wanted hot wheels cars for Christmas.  He said he also wanted a big toy monster truck form Santa.  I am glad I had Elijah because he is very fun.

Yumi Interviews Janique
Yumi

Today I interviewed a nice girl named Janique. When she came in I asked her what she liked about Christmas and she said she likes to open presents and just hang out with her family. Then she said that she wanted a magic set for Christmas, she also wanted a My Little Baby doll. After that I asked her what she liked to do in the snow and she said she likes to go sledding with best friend Kayla K. Janique also said she likes to go skiing with her dad at Crystal Mountain. Janique's hobby is to read. She likes to read American Girl books. Her favorite type of books to read are chapter books. I hope Janique will keep on reading for the rest of her life.

Taylor, First Grader

Taylor, a first grader, said she had a wonderful thanksgiving vacation. She said she had mashed potatoes, turkey, rolls and pumpkin pie. Her favorite pie is pumpkin pie. 

She likes her teacher and she likes to be in first grade. Taylor said her teacher plays the piano. She said she sings too. Her teacher is really nice. Taylor said she likes art and gym. That's what she said.

Taylor Interviews Lawrence

Lawrence told me he is seven years old and has a five year old sister named Jesie. 

Lawrence likes decorating the tree, and he likes getting presents for Christmas. He likes going outside, and he likes to read.

For Thanksgiving he ate turkey and mashed potatoes. For the school Thanksgiving feast he helped make soup. He added hot peppers and corn. It tasted good, he said.

Lawrence said he likes to snowboard when it snows.  I hope it snows soon for Lawrence.

Interviewing Levi

Levi is not shy. Levi is cool and it was easy to make him answer the questions I made. Levi said he had turkey, corn bread, and soup. Levi said he liked the turkey best. He made a vest he told me. Levi told me he made his vest out of paper. Levi told me it was like an Indian vest for Thanksgiving.

Levi told me Logan was his cousin. It was easy to interview Levi because he liked to talk.

Interviewing Tucker

The Thanksgiving dinner that Tucker at was small. All he had to eat was turkey and mashed potatoes. After that he went outside to play. He played outside a lot at Thanksgiving vacation. I think Tucker is a nice little boy.

Nate

A few days ago I interviewed a child named Nate. He was kind of shy. I asked him how he made the vests they made for Thanksgiving. He said they had their scizzors out and cut paper bags. Then they colored them and wore them . When I asked him what he ate at school during their Thanksgiving Feast he said he at cornbread and soup. He also said he enjoyed this feast. When I asked him what Thanksgiving was all about he said feasting. Then I asked what crafts they do. Nate said they draw. That is everything I asked him. I didn't have any more questions to ask.
