Last night the 5th grade basketball team had a pool party. We tried to keep the ball away from the 3 girls, Lucy, Chelsea, and Kaylan. The girls got the ball three times. Lucy kept shoving Jeremy in the water. Some of us got scared that Lucy would push us in so we jumped in.

We also got on other people’s shoulders. I got on Jared’s shoulders and pushed Ryan off Cam. When I fall off, Jared can pull me back up because I am so light. I shoved Nathan off Nolan and he fell in the water. The hot tub was warm.

Yesterday at the basketball party we went swimming, and had pizza. We all played basketball, chicken-run, and keep-away. Keep-away is a game where one person has the ball, and tries not to get thrown in the water by other people.

The pizza I had was cheese pizza, and root beer to drink. The pizza was very hot and good tasting. Lots of people chose pepperoni and cheese pizza. Then everybody on the boys' basketball team got a certificate and a 5^th grade basketball shirt.

At the basketball party we all went to the hotel and went swimming. It was very awesome when we went swimming. We played around for like ten hours. We all had got a tee shirt too. I will play basketball for the rest of my life in school. I think that basketball is awesome.

Last night at the Portage Point Inn the Onekama fifth grade basketball team celebrated for winning the west Michigan D class championship. The fine great coaches were Mr. MacArthur and Mrs. Salyor who pushed us to the limit to make us the best fifth grade team in west Michigan for 2004.

The things that we did at the Portage Point Inn were that we played in the pool and ate pizza with the gifts the coaches gave us in appreciation. What we did in the pool was trying to keep the ball away from the girls that were there. There were sisters of the team.

Last night we had a party for the basketball team and their siblings. It was a lot of fun at the party. The party was at the Portage Point Inn. My mom brought in pizza for the whole team. We got tee shirts at the end of the party that say "Onekama Portagers West Michigan D Tournament Champs." There were a lot of people there. It was very interesting and exciting.

The most fun thing we did was play chicken. I was mostly on the bottom. It takes a lot of strength to carry Ryan around. Ryan and I won most of the time. W were against the girls a lot of the time. Nolan ran around in his underwear because he forgot his swimming trunks. I hope we do something like this next year.

Yesterday we gad a basketball party at the Portage Point Inn. We went swimming there. The pool is 5ft deep. It was awesome.

We played games in the pool. They were chicken and keep away the ball away from Chelsea, Lucie, and Skiler. It was fun.

Best of all we had pizza. I think I ate 5 pieces. They were cheese and pepperoni pizza. It was fun.

At the basketball party we went swimming. While we were swimming we played keep away from the girls. We all threw boys and girls in the pool.

After that we ate good pizza. After we ate the pizza the coach gave use a certificate and a shirt. After that we went swimming and played the same game.

Last night we had a lot of fun swimming at Portage Point Inn for our party. The Coaches bought us all a really nice shirt. It said "Onekama Portagers West Michigan D Tournament Champs 2004 5^th Grade Boys Basketball." Plus we had pizza for Pizza Hut.

In the pool we played chicken. Cam and I won most of the time. I was on top and Cam was on the bottom. I was really good. We had a lot of fun playing chicken last night. I can’t wait until next year.

We had a great first season by winning 1^st place in the tournament. I hope we have another great season next year.
