Anja and Mikelle Have a Talk
By Anja

Anja says, "I really like interviewing people. I really would like to do more interviewing projects and I think the little kids will too. "

Today I interviewed Mikelle. She had great answers. I asked her what her favorite things about Christmas are. She said getting presents from Santa. Then I asked what kind of presents she wanted from Santa. She just said whatever he brings. I asked her if she was going to see her family. She said that she was going to her aunts. I asked her if she was going to see any other family. She said yes. Her grandparents’, aunts’, and uncle. The last Christmas question I had asked her was if she put up her tree yet and what her favorite ornament was on it. She said yes and that her favorite ornament is a moose skiing.I thought that was very funny.

The next set of questions was about weather. She answered them very well. I asked her if she has gone sledding and where she did or will go. She said, "Yes, I went on the school hill and it was really fun." Then I asked her if she is getting a new jacket for the cold weather. She said yes and it is green, blue, and white. I asked her if she likes snow and why. She said, "Yes because I like to sled and make snowmen. " I asked her what her favorite season and she said she likes the summer time the best but I do like winter. The last weather question I asked her was if she snowmobiles. She said, "No, I don't have one but I want one so I can drive it." Even though she will have to wait a while.

Christmas Thoughts of Nick
By Jon

Today I interviewed an interesting first grader named Nicolas. Nikolas really likes to do snow ball fights whe he goes outside. He also likes to go sledding down the school hill with his friend Levi.

Nickolas doesn't have a tree yet, but he can hardly wait to get one. He decorates with tinsel, ornaments and candy canes. He said the best part of having a tree is eating the minty candy canes off the tree.

For Christmas Nick wants Santa to bring him one small thing. That's a medium toy snow mobile. He's going to leave Sant amilk and candy canes on Christmas eve. I really liked interviewing, and I hope this isn't the last time I get to do it.

In the Christmas program Kaitlin and her class is singing Jingle Bells. Kaitlin goes to church but she doesn't know if there is a program this year or not. Kaitlin thinks the best part about Christmas is presants, tree, dinner and snow. It's her favorite holiday.

Writing about Brittany
by Orion

I am writing about Brittany. She likes to play in the snow. Her favorite thing to do in the snow is sledding with her friend Brittany T. Her favorite place to slide is the school hill.

I asked her if she had a Christmas tree and she said yes. She decorated it with ribbons and ornaments, and she puts an angel at the top of her tree. Her favorite thing about having a tree is that her cat plays around with it and it probably makes her laugh.

One thing Brittany wants for Christmas is a make-up box. Her favorite thing about Christmas is the presents, but she still gives presents to her Mom and Dad.

Brittany goes to church. She enjoys it. She doesn't know about the Christmas program yet.

For Christmas her Grandma cooks the food, but she doesn't know what her Grandma will be cooking this year. Christmas is her favorite holiday. and she spends it with her Mom and Dad and Grandma.

Last year she went to Santa's place (not the North Pole though) in the mall or at school. I'm not sure. When she went to see Santa she got a picture of Santa and her together. She thought that was fun. This year Santa and Mrs. Claus were at the mall -- I think... But Brittany is too shy this year. I don't know why she is too shy this year and not last year.

Also she doesn't leave anything for Santa, but she thinks her Grandma does. So that's my interview of Brittany.
