Anticipation

Our Band Concert
Jacob B.

When I got to the school for the band concert I was really excited. When I was in the hall I asked Mrs. Eldridge how many people she thinks will be in the gym and she said " about two hundred" and after she that I felt like I was going to faint. When we got in the gym I was walking over to my seat and I knocked over a stand I was so excited and the bad thing about it was the stand made a big loud noise (that made me feel embarrassed). When I was playing I made a couple of squeaks but they probably weren’t loud enough for the people to hear them over the entire band. On about our third song Derek must of thought she did a one swing and he started to play on accident and everybody started to laugh and clap (even Derek did ). After we were all done and we got to go home

I think the band concert was really fun. I did not mess up once. I just got lost but I caught back up right away. I did not squeak. I think the high schoolers did the best job. They played really clear music. So did the six-graders.

My mom videotaped it so I would get to hear us. We did a great job. But when we had to sit on the bleachers we all lost our stuff. I lost my reed cap. But luckily I think that everyone found their stuff.

I am wondering if we will have another band concert. Like maybe in the spring. If we do I want to be very prepared.

The other day we had our first band concert. I was not that scared because I used to play the violin and I had some concerts before. Now I play the flute. Most of my friends were scared. I was only a little. I had a lot of fun. The high school flutes came out in between our songs because the drums and the bells had to switch instruments. The high schoolers did a great job on the Nutcracker. Their songs were long. We played 6 songs. Some songs were really bad. Others were easy and good. The middle schoolers were good too. We had 6 flutes they are Paige, Mallory, Kayleigh, Erin, Me and Lori she was from New land. …Olivia The concert was fun. I played the clarinet and it was very easy to do. I had to ware a dress that I thought I looked stupid in. I got told that my dress looks bad, but Mrs. Lyman and Mrs. Swarts said it looked beautiful. Almost everyone was there. The concert was for 5th-12th grade. My back and my butt hurt in the end from sitting in the bleachers after are songs. We played six songs, but they were very short songs. …Jackie

When I got to the school I started to get nervous. I thought people would laugh at me if I messed up. But I didn’t. I can’t believe that this was our first concert. I was in the crumpet(trumpet and cornet) section. Then I got really nervous when we walked in. there were a bunch of people there. We played six songs. They were hot crossed buns, good king Wencheslos, merrily we roll along, Au Claire de la Lune, Jolly old St.Nick, and Country walk. I had a lot of fun and can’t wait until our next concert. …Jake G.

I felt nauseous at first. But it was really fun. At one part I thought that she raised her batin and I played one note by my self and everybody lafed and so did I. It sounded really good. After I ate tons of cookies and some cranberry juice. When I was up on the bleachers I dropped my mouth peace, my book, and my book holder. …Derek
