Growing
up in the small mountain town of Steamboat Springs,
Colorado gave me the opportunity to go out for sports all
year long-football in the fall, basketball in the winter,
track in the spring and baseball in the summer. Science
and sports were my greatest joys in high school, and
helped to shape my eventual career choice: coaching and
teaching. My dad was ill during my formative years so I
became closer to my coaches, who were positive influences
in my life. I attended Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, Colorado but quit during my senior year to ski. It was at the ski area in Steamboat Springs where I met my future wife. I returned to school, graduated, started work on my master's program, got married, and finished my Master's Degree in Learning. |
