The sixth graders enthusiastically responded to the presentation.....

"Well, first of all, I have to say 'great performance and thanks for the candy.' I think that the play gave us a lot of information about how to avoid doing drugs and still keep your friends." Chris S.

"Your presentation was great! You really showed us how to say "NO". I noticed that you took a lot of time to practice for us. It was awesome when we answered a question, free Jolly Rancher. Your skits were very awesome too! I think I will join SADD when I can." Scott T.

"It was fun. I learned about different pressure, ways to say no , and pressure comes in many forms. Thank you again!" Ricky C.

"Thank you for showing us how to say no in many different ways. I think it will help when people ask us to do something bad. It was fun playing that game. You were good at the skits. Well, Have a Happy Thanksgiving!." Dusty A

" Thank you for taking time to talk to us. You guys had a wonderful speech. I hope when get in the ninth grade I can stand up in front of the class." Stacey M.

"The SADD presentations was wonderful! I really enjoyed it. The plays were cool Too bad we don't have a real Nintendo here. The game was fun, too. Too bad my team lost.

What is it like to be a SADD member? I think I would like to do that when I am older." Samantha G.

The Onekama High School SADD Chapter members presented "Peer Resistance Information" to the Sixth Grade students. During the lesson the Peer Resistance Team presented four different types of peer pressure: Friendly Pressure, I Dare You Pressure, Heavy Pressure and Indirect Pressure.

"I learned that friendly pressure is when someone asks you nicely to do drugs. So when someone asks me I will say, "No thank you!". Nichole L.

"I learned a lot on how to say NO. Some stuff you taught, I never knew. I noticed how bad drugs are for your body and appearance so I will never use them .Thank you for a great performance." Ashley B.

"Most of you have all gone through pure pressure. It's hard because I've gone through it too. Of course I said NO because it could ruin everything like my basketball. You guys and girls did a great job on your skits. You must have practiced pretty hard. Thank you for the ribbons and suckers. The suckers were good, but I like the ribbons better." Erica J.

"Thank you for coming in and talking to us. It was really fun when we played that Jeopardy game. We learned how to say no in lots of different ways. I liked your skits of all the different ways to say no or no thanks. I was very interesting to watch you do your little skits. Well, I better be going. From a drug free student," Ashley Z.
