Mrs. Eldridge let us take a few minutes off from our science class and let us play around. She showed how to rub a balloon on your head and it made my hair all messy. Once she rubbed the balloon on my head, she put the water on and the balloon made the water go by it. Then we went with some partners and we rubbed the balloon on our heads and tried to pick up stuff like paper, salt and tried to make the water go by it. Then we had to do a paper on it how it can attract stuff. It was really fun! ...Katie

Static Electricity:

a hair raising experience

Our class did some experiments. The first one was to make hair stand up. We made Kris's hair stand up. The next was picking up salt and pepper with a balloon. The pepper was picked up first. Then the salt was pick up next. The pepper is littler than the salt. The next one is bending water with a balloon. The water bent and touches the balloon. The last one is picking up paper with a balloon. All most all the paper was picked up. ...Darrel

In our class we did experiments and it was about electricity. Current Electricity is something that can go on and off. Like a light bulb. You just turn it on and off. Static Electricity is another kind of electricity that jumps. I did an experiment about static electricity with Kayla B, Emily B. It is fun working in partners . Working in partners is better then working all alone. Working an experiment needs too much thinking and sometimes it's fun working it because you can do fun things with it. Kayla B Emily and me did an experiment; it was about a balloon that has to pick some little pieces of paper. ... Isabel R
