Snow is Interesting

I had an interesting moment in my life. It was my first time I stayed all year long in Michigan. All the time before I had gone to Texas in the winter. This time I wanted to see the snow because I had never seen snow. I went to Onekama School and it is very cool. Pretty soon it started to snow and I started playing with the snow and my dogs played with me. The school sometimes was closed because it was too slippery for the bus. Sometimes the snow was very deep and the school was closed two hours and then we would go to school. All my family went to our backyard and we went sledding in a big hill where there was a lot of curves. I went very far in the hill because almost every body crashed in the trees. I am having fun in the winter a lot because we go sledding in the hill. In the school some of my friends go sledding in a big hill. I don't go sledding in the school because I don't got snow pants and boots but I do go sledding in my house.

Kayla B is the "hero of the month". She took the sled down the hill and crawled back up. Kayla uses crutches most of the time!

It was very fun to make bar graphs with skittles (They tasted good). We had to arrange them from their taste. I had 59 skittles in my bag. It was a very fun thing to do. ... Timmy

Skiing

We were on the bus heading for Crystal Mountain, all of my friends were excited. Almost everyone was screaming and couldn't wait to hit the slopes. But me, well, yeah I was excited, but I didn't know how to ski. If I were to tell anybody, they would surely laugh at me.

After the long bus ride everyone jumped of the bus and headed inside. There was a long line in the building, and they were all waiting for their ski boots. When I first stepped into the boots (and buckled them.) I stood up and almost feel over. How could any one walk in those boots?

Getting the skies was another long line. They called you up by name and handed you the skies. We had to carry them out of the building and step into them. A man was waiting for us. I asked my friend what they had to ask us and she said, " They're asking us if we have ever been on a chair lift. All ya gotta say is yes if you have, and no if ya haven't. It's that easy. It's as easy as skiing." "Yeah." I thought, but if only I could ski.
