People have basic needs. If they live in a shelter they still need things like money, food, water, clothes, a job and transportation. They need heat for the winter. If people get sick they also need medical care. Some people in Michigan are homeless and hungry. I'm interested in helping people by working at the Food Pantry. ..Emily B.

He can't believe all the choices we have in the stores. In China, there is very little to choose from-- such as 1 type of cereal, or 1 kind of cookie. Wen is very careful to eat everything on his plate. In China, Wen's family does not waste any food. Wen never used a fork and knife before he came here. He's very good with chop sticks. In China there are no public schools, only rich families can send their children to school. If you can not afford school then you go to work. It is very interesting to learn another culture. In North America most people have plenty of food because there is lots of land to grow food and less people. They could share food with other people. By sharing food with other people in other countries we could have a better world. ..Kayla B.
