"Putting your thumb in the bowl was fun," said Courtney.

"The clay is mushy on your hands when you make the bowl," said Zac.

"It's cool!" said Olivia.

"I liked decorating it," said Anna.

Kelsey and Ryan mold and shape the ball of clay so that it will fit in the plastic bowl. Kelsey said, "The clay is very sticky when you touch it."

Ryan said, " I liked making the bowls because we got to decorate it."

"I like the part where you had to pinch it and twist it to make it a pinch pot," said Luke.

"Making bowls was fun," said Danielle.

"The part I liked was when we were making designs in the clay," said Derek .

"I like making bowls in art because playing with clay is fun," commented Drew.

Chelsea said, " The bowls are fun to make because you get to paint them when they're hard."

The Second Grade Enjoyed Making Clay Bowls for the Soup Project

Ms . Woolman is teaching Mrs. Furton's class how to make clay bowls for the Empty Bowl Dinner.

"I liked glazing the bowl," said Cassandra.

Sarina said, "I liked painting the bowls."

Aaron said, "I liked putting the decorations on the bowls."

Brenna said, "It is fun to make the bowls because you get to make them with clay."

Erin said, "I liked making the bowls because it feels sticky."

Donny is busily adding a coil to the top of his bowl so that it will hold lots of soup. Donny said, "I liked making the bowls because we got to make it by ourself."

Mallory said,"I felt good about making the bowls."

"I had fun decorating my bowl," said Ryan.

"It is very, very fun making the bowls," said Paige.
