On February 19th Onekama Consolidated will have an empty bowl dinner. The dinner will cost $5 for adults and $3 for kids. The money raised from the dinner will be donated to the local food pantry. If you buy the dinner you can take a clay bowl that was made by an Onekama art student. The reason we are doing this is because so many people die of hunger every day and I am glad I'm able to help. ... Todd

Onekama School Students are having a soup dinner on Feb. 19th. We are raising money for the community food pantry. There are forty thousand kids who die everyday because of hunger. So we can do something about it. We can try to make a difference in our community. We are making bowls in art class for the dinner. I feel happy about helping the people who cannot eat every day. ... Onekama School is going to have an empty Bowls soup dinner. The students 1-12 are making bowls in art class. The bowls we make are going to be sold at the dinner to make money to support the Food Pantry. Ms. Chris taught us about the world hunger. That is why we are having this empty bowl dinner. The empty bowls represent the people that are hungry. Ms. Chris said that you can't help them all but you can al least save a few. Please come to our dinner Feb. 19th at Onekama School Cafeteria from 5-7. I like it when I get to help people that are not as wealthy as us. I feel horrible that so many people die a day from hunger. Fourth Grade Students enjoyed participating in the Empty Bowl Project

Onekama School is going to have an Empty Bowl Soup Dinner on Feb.19th. All the money earned will go to the community food pantry at St. Joseph Church. Ms. Chris came in and taught us that we are lucky to have food and that some people go to bed hungry. She also said that 40,000 children die a day from hunger. That is why we are having this Empty Bowl Dinner. I feel bad for the people that are not as lucky as we are. I am so glad to be helping people less fortunate. .... Stephanie
