The 1996-1997 Project

During the 1996-1997 school year that third grade was again raising salmon. Onekama has been doing this project for three years, but this year something strange happened. Over Christmas vacation the cooling system got unplugged, so the water reached 60 degrees Fahrenheit. That's very bad for the fish. The young salmon could not adapt to the warmer temperature. The project came to a tragic end because all of the fish died. ...............Patrick O.S.
