Service Learning
In the beginning, before our
Service Learning Project began, we discussed the many
shapes our stepping stones might be.
Here we are posing
with our many "picture frames" shapes. We sure
are "pretty as a picture"
The first group is making
their stepping stones. Six children poured cement at a
time. They troweled it and decorated it with nature
findings.
Mr. K.
demonstrates how to dice up the mixture and rid it of air
bubbles.
Hi Mom, I am a mess!" say Hobie, Lindsay, Alicia, and
Melissa.
We will
leave behind a reminder, or "legacy", of our
kindergarten year. It has been a splendid year!

Shapes are everywhere! Mr.
K. says we are going to use these shapes to make
something for our Children's Garden. Do you wonder what
it will be?
Mr. K. loves to play in the
mess as well.
Madalyn
and Louise contemplate the "finished product".
This
cement feels cool like springtime mud.
