February 3, Stephanie wrote, "For the last couple weeks we have been doing meap tests. We did three different tests. I thought the Social Studies was the hardest, the Science was the easiest and the Writing was sort of in between. The writing was about Helping Others. We had been talking about helping others all year, so we were sort of relieved that we got that topic. The science meap questions were mostly easy. I think we had studied most of it with using things like Quiz Bowl. Social Studies is the one I though was hardest. In some parts of the three tests there were multiple choice questions and sometimes there were essays. Even though they took a long time, I think they were fun." ...Stephanie

Kelli wrote, "There are three main meap tests fifth graders do. The first one we did was our Writing Meap. It was the one I liked best. First, we were told our topic "Helping Others". Then we wrote lots of things in a rough draft book. On the third day we copied it into our final book. The next was the Social Studies MEAP. That was my least favorite. It wasn't really that hard, like I thought it would be. The final one was Science. It was easy. It was only two days long. The others were three days." ...Kelli
